Surrey success for Spencer duo

Congratulations to two Spencerites who are not just making their way at Surrey this year, they are making waves too.

After a couple of injury impacted years, Gus Atkinson has forced his way into Surrey’s T20 Blast team and has taken 11 wickets in six games including 4 for 36 in front of the Sky TV cameras vs Middlesex.

Not to be outdone, Maddie Blinkhorn-Jones, who still qualifies for our GU18 team made her latest Surrey appearance, also vs Middlesex at the Oval. Opening, she scored 62 as the Surrey Women followed their male counterparts in also beating Middlesex.

Gus is in the 3rd year of his Surrey contract, Maddie, when commitments allow, can be seen playing for our Women’s 1st XI.
